After spending the winter months in tropical Africal the Golden Oriole returns to our region to breed in late spring. With superb bright yellow and black plumage it is one of Southern Spain's most flamboyant birds and always towards the top of birdwatchers must-see lists. Often found in patches of dense woodland with leafy, ariy trees the Golden Oriole nonetheless nests close to Lanjaron and provides frequent sightings through the summer season.
